Samsung Electronics apologises to Chinese consumers

Samsung Electronics has apologised to Chinese consumers after a report carried on China's state TV claimed some of its phones were malfunctioning.
                                              Samsung Note2
The report alleged the phones were crashing due to faulty memory chips and criticised its repair policies.
Samsung, which generates nearly 14% of its overall revenue from China. said it will provide free repairs for the seven models mentioned in the report.
Samsung is the latest foreign firm to be criticised in the Chinese media.
The South Korean firm said in statement that it "sincerely apologises" to Chinese consumers for inconveniences caused by the company's "management problems" and that it welcomed the media scrutiny.
The models mentioned in the China Central Television (CCTV) report, which was aired earlier this week, include the Galaxy S3 and the Note2 phones.
In April, Apple's chief executive Tim Cook apologised to Chinese consumers following two weeks of battering by state-owned media over its repair and warranty policies,
The media accused the firm of arrogance, greed and of "throwing its weight around".

Iphone 6

A neat iPhone 6 concept by Los Angeles-based product and graphic designer Johnny Plaid. “With the release of iPhone 5, Apple made it clear that user comfort was far more important to them than screen size. Whether you agree with their philosophy or not, I set out to increase not only the height of the display, but the width as well while still following Apple’s design and usability requirements. The iPhone 6 concept maintains the exact physical dimensions of the iPhone 5 but the display has been increased from 640 x 1136 to 754 x 1296″.

Lumia 1520 to Launch as an AT&T Exclusive in US

Nokia officially unveiled the highly-anticipated Lumia 1520 at a special event earlier in today in Abu Dhabi, but unfortunately for U.S. customers the new phablet will launch as an AT&T exclusive. The news doesn’t come as much of a surprise; Nokia has offered similar exclusives to AT&T in the past, including the Lumia 1020 which launched earlier this year.
The Lumia 1520 comes equipped with a 6-inch 1080p display, a quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor, a non-removable Li-Ion 3400mAh battery, 2GB of RAM, and 32GB of storage with a microSD support for adding up to 64GB of additional storage. The device also features a 20-megapixel PureView rear camera, a 1.2-megapixel secondary shooter, 4 built-in microphones, and runs Windows Phone 8.
We still don’t know how much the Lumia 1520 will cost on AT&T, though Nokia says it’s priced at $749 off-contract. The company also didn’t say when the device will launch, though we’re expecting a Q4 release in the U.S.

Google Tricks

1. Google Gravity
Quite simply, this is Earth-bound physics “infused” into Google’s interface: with “gravity,” the visual elements you commonly find on the interface, such as the search bar, the “I’m feeing lucky” button, and everything else fall down like a stack of bricks on the bottom of the browser. You can even “pick up” and “throw” the search results at the “walls” or just simply mess with them. This is no longer implemented on Google, but you can still see how it worked through the link below.funny google gravity trick
2. Let me Google that for you
LMGTFY or Let Me Google That for You is a somewhat tongue-in-cheek service made for those of us who are too lazy to use Google. Upon entering a search query, instead of results, you get a link that you can then mail to your lazy recipient.
Clicking on the link launches the actual search: thus, in this perigrinatory manner, you have Googled it for them. All they have to do is click the link. A beautiful example of technology making things more complicated for us.
3. Google Chuck Norris
There was a time when the internet raged with all imaginable Chuck Norris jokes. So naturally, Google itself dipped its hand in the meme with the Chuck Norris Google Trick. Search “Chuck Norris,” and Google returns a familiar Chuck Norris joke: “Google won’t search for Chuck Norris because it knows you don’t find Chuck Norris, he finds you.”
4. God on Google Earth
Sometime in 2010, people around the world went “God crazy” when Google Earth supposedly had taken a “snapshot” of “divine beings” while crossing a mountain zone in Switzerland. There’s no definite answer, of course, but the buzz it created was testament to how the entire online community could get excited over a blurry photo, like they do with pictures of cats.
5. Google Pac-man
A treasure-trove of fun Google tricks won’t be complete without mentioning Google’s Pac-Man doodle. On May 22, 2010, the 30th anniversary of the classic game, people around the world woke up to a search engine sporting an actually playable mini-version of Pac-Man. And naturally, hundreds of millions of people spent hours playing the game, basically slowing down productivity to a halt.

Apple announced that the latest version of its OS X operating system, Mavericks, would be available for free sometime today.
Well folks, the wait is officially over. OS X Mavericks is now available from the Apple App Store for download, and it runs on systems dating back as far back as 2007. That means you won’t have to do iterative updates just to get the latest version of the software. Simply fire up the App Store, download Mavericks, and run the installation.
We’re downloading the update now, stay tuned for more feedback. Oh, one last thing: it’s a huge 5GB file.
BBM for Android and iOS was released yesterday, and it’s already the top free application for iOS devices. Despite its presence on the iTunes charts, BBM for Android has yet to even crack the top 20 free apps on that platform. Just 24 hours after…

Its seems to be Android Hit it like a hammer.
On Android that means heading to Settings -> Apps -> BBM and clicking Force Close. Once done with this part, relaunch BBM and you should get the required PIN assigned to you. Now for the catch, BlackBerry could catch on and close this loophole. And in addition, we have seen some mixed reports in terms of success.

Email Hacking

The Basic level Hacking is Email Account Hacking.  Everyone like to do first email account hacking only.  So here is the tutorial for budding hackers about email Hacking.

There are different types of Email Account Hacking .  Here is some of them :

  1. Social Engineering
    • Phishing
  2. Brute Force Attack
  3.  Keylogger
  4.  Guessing the Answer for the Security Question

Social Engineering:

Social engineering takes advantage of the weakest link in any organization’s
information security defenses: people. Social engineering is
“people hacking” and involves maliciously exploiting the trusting nature of
human beings to obtain information that can be used for personal gain.

Social engineering is one of the toughest hacks to perpetrate because it takes
great skill to come across as trustworthy to a stranger. It’s also by far the
toughest hack to protect against because people are involved.

Social Engineering is different from Physical Security exploits . In social engineering hackers will analyze about
victim.  Hackers will send mail to victim.  The contents will be related to the victim.

Eg:

✓ False support personnel claim that they need to install a patch or new
version of software on a user’s computer, talk the user into downloading
the software, and obtain remote control of the system.
✓ False vendors claim to need to update the organization’s accounting
package or phone system, ask for the administrator password, and
obtain full access.
✓ Phishing e-mails sent by external attackers gather user IDs and passwords
of unsuspecting recipients. Hackers then use those passwords to
gain access to bank accounts and more. A related attack exploits crosssite
scripting on Web forms.
✓ False employees notify the security desk that they have lost their keys
to the computer room, receive a set of keys from security, and obtain
unauthorized access to physical and electronic information.

 Phishing WebPage:

It is a fake webpage which looks similar to the original page of the website.  Using this WebPage we can easily get the Password of victims.  The process involved in creating Phishing webpage are,
✓ First Visit the Website which is associated with the email id. Copy the Source code.
✓ Edit the the Source code such that it will store the password for you.
✓ Upload the Webpage to any free webhosting sites.  (don't select a famous hosting site, they will find that
your page is fake). Try uploading through the proxy server.

Guessing the Answer for Security Question:
Do you remember that the mail sites will ask for the security questions to retrieve the mail account?  You can hack the mail account simply guessing the answer.  If the victim is your friend ,then it may very easy to hack.

Brute Force Attack:

A famous and traditional attacking method .  In this method ,the password will be found by trying all possible passwords with any program or software.

Keyloggers:

It is one of the spyware which will capture what you type in the keyboard.  so whenever you type the username and password ,it will simply capture.

It is software program which will be attached with any softwares and send to victim.  While victiminstall the software ,the keylogger also start to work.  Keyloggers are exe files.
